East Paulding extended their postseason success on Monday against Newnan. They blew past the Cougars 18-5. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won 12 contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Emma Hernandez made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with six  RBI, three  runs,  and one  double. Those  six  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Ella Heal, who  went 4-for-5 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in September.  Chloe Grier was another key player,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
 East Paulding  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .591. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newnan only posted  an  OBP of  .357.
East Paulding has  been performing  well recently as they've  won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Newnan,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 12-19.
As of now, neither East Paulding nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
