On Friday, everything came up roses for Ashe County on the road against Asheboro as the team secured a 59-29 win.
When it comes to explaining why Asheboro lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sion Murrain. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. The game was Murrain's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ellen Long, who scored 4 points along with 3 blocks.
Ashe County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Asheboro, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ashe County will challenge North Surry at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Asheboro is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Randleman at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th. Hopefully Randleman focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Monday.
