Clinch County has gone 9-1 against Atkinson County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Rebels at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Clinch County's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Brooks County as they made off with a 14-0 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.
Sophie Corbitt made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Clinch County let Addy Barber and Alyssa Giddens run wild. Barber went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI, while Giddens went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Giddens a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Briley Brown, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Clinch County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Atkinson County never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Turner County last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 12-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won five in a row.
Atkinson County's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Clinch County, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.
Clinch County took their win against Atkinson County in their previous matchup on September 4th by a conclusive 9-3 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
