It was a good run, but the West Valley Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 52-43 loss to Shasta. West Valley's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Shasta, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Red Bluff the next time they take the court. West Valley will host Red Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Shasta will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
