Softball Recap: Hooker Wins Going Away Against Arnett

Hooker came out on top against Arnett on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run third inning. The Bulldogs blew past the Wildcats 17-8. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 13-1 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2023.

Hooker got a massive performance out of Kinley McGaha, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one triple. Ana DeHererra was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hooker kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Hooker now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Arnett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Hooker has already played their next matchup (against Tyrone), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Arnett, they will head out on the road to face off against Vici at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
