The Norristown Eagles lost against the Perkiomen Valley Vikings back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Norristown was outmatched by the Vikings on the road and fell 75-26. Norristown was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-8.
Perkiomen Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grace Galbavy, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Galbavy has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Grace Miley, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Norristown's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Perkiomen Valley, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norristown won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Warriors at 6:45 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Methacton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday. As for Perkiomen Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Pottsgrove will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 579th, while the Vikings are ranked 16th).
