Cornerstone Christian put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They breezed by Fremont Christian at home to the tune of 71-25. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Cornerstone Christian has posted yet this season.
Cornerstone Christian found their leader in underclassman Kaylie Bertand, who scored 21 points along with five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bertand has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Pamela-Joyce Allen, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, Holy Names didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Contra Costa Christian on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 39-34 victory.
Cornerstone Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Holy Names, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Everything came up roses for Cornerstone Christian against Holy Names in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 as the team secured a 58-13 victory. With Cornerstone Christian ahead 35-4 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
