The Averroes Falcon's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 51-28 walloping at the hands of Elliot Christian.
It was another big night for Bella Perry, who scored 21 points along with six steals for Elliot Christian. Perry is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Nena Heiser was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.
Averroes' loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Elliot Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Averroes will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oakland Military Institute at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. Elliot Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Venture Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 9th. The timing isn't great for Venture Academy: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Elliot Christian has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
