Mountain View had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They took down the Ann Sobrato Bulldogs 65-49. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 644th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ann Sobrato's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Isle, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mehak Gill, who scored 12 points.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Ann Sobrato, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Mountain View wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 47-22 win against Saratoga on the 28th. As for Ann Sobrato, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-46 victory against Leland on the 28th.
