Lyle/Pacelli had trouble last week, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. On Friday they take on Grand Meadow at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Lyle/Pacelli now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
There's no need to mince words: Lyle/Pacelli lost to Randolph, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 13-48. The result was completely at odds with the teams' state rankings as Lyle/Pacelli enjoys a hefty 229 spot advantage.
Grand Meadow had a rough outing against Houston two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Grand Meadow put a hurting on Lanesboro to the tune of 45-0.
Grand Meadow's victory lifted them to 2-1 while Lyle/Pacelli's loss dropped them down to 0-3. We'll see if Grand Meadow's success rolls on or if Lyle/Pacelli are able to steal their positive momentum.
