The Hanover Nighthawks were the 53-47 winner over the York County Tech Spartans when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Hanover took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of York County Tech on Friday. Hanover can't seem to catch a break and have yet to win any of their three games.
York County Tech found their leader in underclassman Meaza Hower, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Marissa Parker, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds.
Hanover's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for York County Tech, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Hanover will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bermudian Springs at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. York County Tech will be home for the holidays to greet South Western at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
