The home team had come away the winner the last five times Ripon Christian and Gustine had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Knights' pitchers stepped up to hand the Reds a 16-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Noah De Bruyn and Jackson Howell made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, De Bruyn tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, De Bruyn got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Howell got on base in all five of his plate appearances with five runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
