East Bakersfield and the Stars are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The East Bakersfield Blades will head out on the road to face off against the North Stars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Bakersfield is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
East Bakersfield was handed a 70-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against the Spartans on Thursday. East Bakersfield skirted past the Spartans 32-30. The win was just what East Bakersfield needed coming off of a 82-12 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, North was the victim of a rough 62-37 defeat at the hands of the Warriors on Thursday. While losing is never fun, North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 527th, while the Warriors are ranked 154th).
East Bakersfield has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season. As for North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.
East Bakersfield was able to grind out a solid victory over the Stars in their previous matchup back in January, winning 51-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Bakersfield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
