The Bishop Diego Cardinals put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Paraclete with a sharp 47-27 victory. Given Bishop Diego's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Paraclete is ranked 530th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Galilea De la cruz, who scored 19 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Bishop Diego's points. Another player making a difference was Jaymi Coronado, who scored 9 points.
Bishop Diego pushed their record up to 8-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Paraclete, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Bishop Diego will play host again and welcome Dunn, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Paraclete will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th.
