After a string of eight wins, the Perkiomen Valley Vikings's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a hard 49-33 fall against Gill St. Bernard's. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Perkiomen Valley has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Perkiomen Valley still got an impressive performance from Grace Galbavy, who scored 12 points. The match was Galbavy's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Grace Miley, who scored eight points.
Perkiomen Valley's loss dropped their record down to 8-1. As for Gill St. Bernard's, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Perkiomen Valley won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Horizon at 10:00 a.m. on December 29th. Horizon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 139th in Florida, while Perkiomen Valley is ranked 26th in Pennsylvania). Gill St. Bernard's won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Metropolitan on December 29th. Metropolitan is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
