Softball Recap: Lutheran South Beats Valley Park for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Lutheran South had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Valley Park Hawks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lancers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The victory got Lutheran South back to even at 7-7-1. As for Valley Park, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Lutheran South will head out to face off against Cor Jesu Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Valley Park, they will venture away from home to challenge Hazelwood West at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
