Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Douglass). They were the clear victors by a 21-9 margin over the Stone Mountain Pirates on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Astros as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Douglass got a massive performance out of Marion Rucker, who scored three runs and stole seven bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, Rucker posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Quintavious Stone, who scored four runs and stole five bases while going 3-for-3.

Douglass always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .758. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Douglass' victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Stone Mountain, they dropped their record down to 0-15-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Douglass will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pirates: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on the 14th.
