This season hasn't been kind to the Tranquillity Tigers, who are still winless after their 18th match. The match between Tranquillity and Dos Palos wasn't particularly close, with Tranquillity falling 34-19. If Tranquillity hoped to take revenge for the 38-21 defeat against they when the teams met on Tuesday, then they were left disappointed.
Dos Palos found their leader in underclassman Hannah Slimp, who scored 19 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Slimp has scored at least a third of Dos Palos' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Athena Correa, who scored nine points.
Tranquillity dropped their record down to 0-18 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Dos Palos, their victory ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15.
Tranquillity won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Riverdale at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th. Riverdale is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Dos Palos, they will head out on the road to take on Mendota at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Mendota's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Dos Palos' offense will have their work cut out for them.
