The Red Lion Lions lost against the Central York Panthers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Red Lion suffered a tough 54-30 defeat at the hands of Central York. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Red Lion has scored all season.
Red Lion's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Julia Sedora, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds, and Madi Sechrist who scored nine points. Those eight rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
This is the second loss in a row for Red Lion and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Central York, they pushed their record up to 1-1 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
Red Lion will be home for the holidays to greet William Penn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central York will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Spring Grove at 7:15 p.m. on December 22nd.
