Softball Recap: Lafayette Starts Season with Victory at Home

LaFayette gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They put the hurt on the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors with a sharp 10-1 victory. The Ramblers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

LaFayette let Harley Perkins and Emma Parker run wild. Perkins went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base, while Parker went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI Parker has posted since back in August of 2024. Addi Hogue was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

LaFayette will have a chance to go back-to-back against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
