The Buena Park Coyotes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 33 points or more this season. Gloria Barrera had a dynamite game for Buena Park, dropping a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. Mya Barnes was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds.
Buena Park pushed their record up to 8-7 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Los Alamitos, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
Buena Park will finish 2023 at home by hosting Mayfair at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mayfair will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 786th, while Buena Park is ranked 113th). Los Alamitos won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Crean Lutheran at 3:30 p.m. on December 28th.
