Roanoke Catholic's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Roanoke Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Demarcus Brown, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Brown hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Johnson, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Fishburne Military still got an impressive performance from Giovanni Belisle, who scored 23 points. That was a full 45.1% of Fishburne Military's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Devin Charles, who scored 13 points.
Roanoke Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Fishburne Military, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.
Roanoke Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Cross at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. North Cross is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Fishburne Military, they will face off against New Covenant at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully New Covenant focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday.
