Mexico waltzed into their game  on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Marshall Owls as they made off with  an  8-2 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 Aleigha Henderson was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She  struck out six batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Hannah Loyd, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. She also put up a  double, which was her first of the season.  Maddy Feger was another key player,  going 1-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Mexico  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in three consecutive  contests.
Mexico's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Marshall, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mexico will take on Moberly at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Marshall, they will face off against Fulton at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
