The Orange Glen Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell to Rock Academy 36-31. Orange Glen was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rock Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.
Rock Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thereza Horugavye, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Adeline Hooper, who scored ten points.
Orange Glen dropped their record down to 8-12 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.0 points per game. As for Rock Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.
Orange Glen will head out on the road to take on Rock Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rock Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Escondido Charter at 5:30 p.m.
