The Peru Tigers will square off against the Logansport Berries at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Peru is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
Peru's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Whitko as they made off with a 10-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their one-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Isaac Braley, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was William Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Peru kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Logansport sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over Oak Hill on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Berries.
Not much got past Braylon Ritchie, who gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks to keep Oak Hill off the board. Ritchie has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Hudson Shank was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Peru's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Logansport, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Peru has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Logansport struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Peru skirted past Logansport 8-6 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Berries turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
