Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oakwood). They came out on top against the Canyon Cowboys by a score of 67-60 on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Owls have won by exactly seven points.

Canyon lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Shannen Wilson, who went 8 for 18 on her way to 22 points and five rebounds. With that strong performance, Wilson is now averaging an impressive 15.8 points per game. Jasmine Williams was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Oakwood and bumps their season record up to 6-3. As for Canyon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Oakwood won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Palisades at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Oakwood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Canyon, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Golden Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Canyon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season.
