The Roosevelt Mustangs will square off against the Hart Indians at TBD on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Roosevelt sitting on five straight victories and Hart on 15.
Roosevelt had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Harvard-Westlake on Saturday and snuck past 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for Roosevelt as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Mia Goettsche and
Juliette Gomez, who scored both of Roosevelt's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 20 so far this season.
Meanwhile, Hart kept a clean sheet against Alta Loma on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Braves. That's two games straight that Hart has won by exactly two goals.
Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 20-4-1. As for Hart, their victory bumped their record up to 20-2-2.
