The Branham Bruins put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Evergreen Valley by a score of 57-50. That's another feather in the cap for Branham, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Branham was led to victory by Rebecca Sung and Quinn Godfrey. Sung scored 16 points along with 5 steals, while Godfrey dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. The game was Godfrey's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gina Shim, who scored 13 points.
Branham's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Evergreen Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Branham will take on Los Gatos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Evergreen Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Salinas at 7:00 p.m.
