On Friday, University Pathways Medical Magnet didn't have too much trouble with Gertz-Ressler at home as they won 35-21.
University Pathways Medical Magnet got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mia Munguia out in front who scored 15 points along with four steals and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Camila Alcaraz, who scored seven points along with 28 rebounds and three blocks.
University Pathways Medical Magnet's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Gertz-Ressler, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University Pathways Medical Magnet will take on University Pathways Public Service Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. University Pathways Public Service Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Gertz-Ressler, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stern at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
