Basketball Recap: Bishop Carroll's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Bishop Carroll was feeling good fresh off their 60-25 takedown of Bedford last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bishop Carroll Huskies fell 54-45 to the Bishop McCort Crushers on Thursday. The Huskies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crushers earlier this season, when they won 45-42.

Bishop Carroll lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ava Pablic, who went 6 of 14 en route to 17 points in addition to six boards and three steals. That's the most points Pablic has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Emily Lucko, who posted ten points.

Bishop Carroll's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6. As for Bishop McCort, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.

Bishop Carroll and Bishop McCort should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Bishop Carroll will square off against Penn Cambria at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 132 places (103 vs. 235). Bishop Carroll will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Meanwhile, Bishop McCort (ranked 68th) will meet Richland (ranked 266th) at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
