The Rio Vista Rams posted their biggest victory since December 4, 2023 on Tuesday. They breezed by Esparto at home to the tune of 58-17. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Rio Vista has posted against Esparto since January 3, 2017.
Rio Vista found their leader in underclassman Samiah Holley, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 steals. Holley is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenayah Banks, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Rio Vista's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Esparto, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Coincidentally, Rio Vista and Esparto will both be playing Vacaville Christian the next time they take the court. Rio Vista will host Vacaville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Esparto will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
