After a string of three wins, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Chadwick Dolphins by a score of 7-6.

Joshua Rios was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Garcia, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Chadwick, they moved to 6-12 with that win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

Coming up, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy will square off against Bosco Tech at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Chadwick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
