After a string of three wins, Audenried's's good fortune finally ran out on Sunday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 70-47 walloping at the hands of Maret.
Audenried's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aniyah Howard, who scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. Howard scored a full 31.9% of Audenried's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Shayla Smith, who scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals.
Audenried's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Maret, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Audenried will take on Carver High School of Engineering & Science at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Carver High School of Engineering & Science will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 187th, while Audenried is ranked 17th). As for Maret, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
