Alcovy had lost four straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 3-16 to make it five. They lost 18-10 to the Heritage Patriots. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Alcovy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Kenley, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Kenley is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another was Trey Bryant, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
As for Heritage, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-12. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Heritage's side, Brendon McRae made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. McRae also tossed a walk, which is notable because Heritage is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 9-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of William Bush, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alcovy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Habersham Central at 5:55 p.m. on the 13th. As for Heritage, they will face off against Grayson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
