Fossil Ridge had lost five straight, but after bumping their record up to 4-9  on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Rocky Mountain Lobos by a score of  6-2. That's more bragging rights for the SaberCats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Avery Akers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned runs on two hits.
 At the plate,  Briella Myers was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and two  RBI.  Kylie Garcia also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
As for Rocky Mountain, they dropped their record down to 6-8 with the  loss, which was their seventh straight  on the road dating back to last season. Having soared to a lofty 19  runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
 On Rocky Mountain's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Ariana Jackson, who  went 1-for-2 with one  double and one  RBI.
