The Muir Mustangs will square off against the Lancaster Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Muir is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 11 games.
Muir barely beat Pasadena the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs blew past the Bulldogs 10-2 on Friday. Considering the Mustangs have won ten games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Luca Cano and Kahlil Rishwain did most of the damage at the plate: Cano went 2-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double, while Rishwain went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those five RBI gave Cano a new career-high. Bryant Soriano was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lancaster, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They skirted past Highland 3-1.
Austin Deleuw spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. He has become a key player for Lancaster: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-11 otherwise.
At the plate, Lancaster's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Morales, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Another was Austin Wood, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Muir's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Lancaster, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.
Muir's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's matchup. The Mustangs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Lancaster, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Muir continue to outrun the ball?
Muir skirted past Lancaster 2-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
