The Edison Vikings will take on the Ripon Indians at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ripon took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Edison, who comes in off a win.
Ripon will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Edison extended their winning streak to three on Friday. Everything went the Vikings' way against Chavez as they made off with a 15-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Izaak Navarrete was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Edison is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-9-1 otherwise. Navarrete was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alberto Cervantes, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with six stolen bases, four runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted over his last nine games. Another player making a difference was Julian Avila, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Edison always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Escalon hit Ripon with a four-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians lost 8-1 to the Cougars. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Edison's victory bumped their record up to 8-10-1. As for Ripon, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
