After a string of five wins, Morse's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Calexico Bulldogs by a score of 32-30. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Morse's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Yasmin Zufri, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Belinda Diaz, who had eight points.

Morse's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Calexico, with the victory, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.

Morse has already played their next matchup, a 54-36 loss against Montgomery on the 27th. As for Calexico, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Mount Miguel on the 27th.
