The result came thanks to Grant Mouse's shutout, as he gave up just two hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Noah Reed and Joey Maloney did most of the damage at the plate: Reed went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double, while Maloney went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That's the most runs Reed has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Drake, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Archbishop Alter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Eaton can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Coldwater, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since May 21, 2025.
The team relied heavily on Haydn Scott, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
