Baseball Recap: Pacific Ridge Extends Winning Streak to Three

Pacific Ridge entered their tilt with Guajome Park Academy on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Frogs with a sharp 13-4 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-4 on Wednesday.

Michael Fredericks and Cal Chivers made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Fredericks pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Chivers tossed three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Fredericks has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Fredericks got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one triple and one RBI, while Chivers went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three hits gave Chivers a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madden Lafleur, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Jed McDonald was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Pacific Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory got Pacific Ridge back to even at 6-6. As for Guajome Park Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
