The Ord Chanticleers came into Friday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 53-42 win over O'Neill on Friday. The win was just what Ord needed coming off of a 71-48 defeat in their prior contest.
Ord got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lillee Alexander out in front who scored eight points along with ten rebounds. Claire Cargill was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
O'Neill's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hannah Hilker, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauryn Dusatko, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Ord's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-12. As for O'Neill, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.
Ord does not have any more games scheduled as of now. O'Neill also has no future games currently scheduled.
