After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Middletown, the Lower Lake Trojans were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Upper Lake by a score of 50-43. That's another feather in the cap for Lower Lake, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Tiahna Tubbs continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Lower Lake's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Serenity McCoy, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Lower Lake's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Upper Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lower Lake will square off against Willits at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Willits has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 16. As for Upper Lake, they will head out on the road to challenge Clear Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
