Brooks is 8-2 against Solorio since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Sun Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Solorio took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Brooks, who comes in off a win.
Brooks took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Simeon with a sharp 12-6 victory. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Brooks got a great performance from Jacob Carrillo as he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Carrillo a new career-high.
At the plate, Mikayle Haji was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Brooks: the team is 5-2 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 8-10 otherwise. Amani Braden also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Brooks always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Simeon only posted an OBP of .462.
Meanwhile, Solorio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 5-2 to Jones. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 22, 2024, but that streak is no more.
Keiber Hernandez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert DeMateo, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.
Brooks' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-12. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Solorio, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Brooks has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Solorio struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Brooks got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Solorio by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
