Giles County waltzed into their game  on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They took down the Forrest Rockets 46-28.
Giles County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Pierson Collier, who rushed for 224 yards and three  touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry, and also picked up 78 receiving yards and one  TD. That's the most  receiving yards  Collier has posted since back in October of 2024.  Damari Allen was in the mix  too, providing Giles County with two scores.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Giles County was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 275  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 174  rushing yards in six consecutive  matchups.
 Giles County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Drew McClemore,  Dereon London,  and  Colt Ogle picked up one apiece. Ogle is also on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made six or more in each of the last three games he's  played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
 When it comes to explaining why Forrest lost, don't look at  Quincy Mitchell. Despite the final result, he rushed for 186 yards and three  TDs while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also caught one  touchdown.
Giles County's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Forrest, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 6-3.
 Coming up, Giles County will square off against Sequatchie County at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31  points  in their last four contests. As for Forrest, they will challenge Watertown at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
