Aptos posted their biggest win since December 20, 2024 on Friday. Everything went their way against the San Lorenzo Valley Cougars as the Aptos Mariners made off with a 50-27 victory. The Mariners pushed the score to 40-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cougars cut but never quite recovered from.

Berkeley Ashby was her usual excellent self, putting up 15 points along with seven boards and five steals. Abby Sherwood was another key player, scoring nine points and six rebounds.

The win snapped Aptos' losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-7 record. As for San Lorenzo Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aptos has already played their next contest (against Soquel), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. San Lorenzo Valley has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Harbor.
