It was a good run, but the Carver Vo-Tech Bears unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to Forest Park 71-66. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Monday (59), Carver Vo-Tech still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Carver Vo-Tech still got an impressive performance from Dorrian Sands, who scored 29 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Sands is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was David Ross, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Carver Vo-Tech's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3. As for Forest Park, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Carver Vo-Tech will take on Benjamin Franklin at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Benjamin Franklin is ranked 95th, while Carver Vo-Tech is ranked 75th). As for Forest Park, they will square off against Green Street Academy at TBD on Tuesday. Green Street Academy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
