St. Frances Academy posted their biggest win since December 1, 2023 last Friday. They really took it to Our Lady of Mount Carmel for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-36 win at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win St. Frances Academy has posted against Our Lady of Mount Carmel since March 1, 2018.
St. Frances Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zoe Osby out in front who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Mone't Edwards was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six assists and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Friends' Central blew past Academy of the New Church, posting a 58-21 win at home. Given Friends' Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Academy of the New Church is ranked 157th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. Frances Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Friends' Central, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.
