The Fountain Valley Barons suffered their biggest loss since December 4, 2023 on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 47-25 walloping at the hands of Corona del Mar. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fountain Valley in their matchups with Corona del Mar: they've now lost four in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Julia Mork, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sienna Knodegah, who scored eight points.
Fountain Valley's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Corona del Mar, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fountain Valley will take on Edison at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Corona del Mar, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Vista Murrieta at 9:00 a.m. on January 13th. Hopefully Vista Murrieta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
