Archbishop Riordan waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victor by a 61-40 margin over the Spanish Springs Cougars. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season.

Maxine Sutisna went supernova for Archbishop Riordan, putting up 20 points. Another player making a difference was Zion McGuire, who posted eight points.

Aaliyah Vance and Addison Bowers certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Vance earned 11 points, while Bowers had nine points and three steals. That's the most steals Bowers has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Wakefield, who put up 13 points.

Archbishop Riordan's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Spanish Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Archbishop Riordan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-42 defeat against Varsity Opponent on the 28th. As for Spanish Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-45 loss against Corner Canyon on the 28th.
