Crete saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Wendt, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave Wendt a new career-high. Another was Brooks Piening, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Crete kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
